Viewpoint: From the Ground Up

Seeing from where I am, perception from perspective.

I am naturally introspective, most often solitarily inquisitive, and an adventuring explorer of opportunities for immersive knowledge.
This much I perceive about myself.

My life choices and experiences result from ingrained or selective perspective angles and a past comforting sense of purposeful security. Memorable, precious, sacred, humbling, difficult, appreciative. Perspective with its biases and sources, while a useful and important aspect of framing life, needs balancing with introspective perception, for me. Through self-observance, I am learning to see myself, in my natural, raw state of awareness, a spiritual experience in and of itself.

From where I stand at a particular moment in time, I acknowledge my feelings, the innate desire for immersion, to observe the details of my environment, and appreciate the aloneness achievable in crowded or busy places.
Perception from perspective.

Have you ever walked into yourself?
Did you feel lost, confused, at peace, or captivated by the environment shaped by those you encounter, created by you, your choices, and experiences?
How often do you visit yourself?

Have you ever walked into a building to feel captivated, desirous to immerse yourself, to take it all in, to recognize a sense of smallness, and an appreciation for the contributions of those who came before you?

Immersive Perspectives

My gaze purposefully follows the lines upward until I am looking directly above. I slowly turn my head, keeping my position, to see a panorama.
I stand in my place, amazed by the immensely decorative details and finishings.

My cameral allows me to revisit places and experiences that evoke immersive opportunities. When I look at my photos I spend time in them. Though the eye captures much more than a photo ever could, there is something special about focusing from different perspectives. Perceive there is more that determines worth and valuableness than one focal point. Observe how the beauty of a place and time leave indelible footprints on one’s heart and mind. I am learning perspective and perception are irrevocably connected, flexible, and prone to changeability and growth, both objectivity and subjectivity.

My life choices and experiences contain selectively developed perspective angles and a comforting sense of purposeful security.

What about you?
How do you determine your viewpoint?
Do you often allow others to lead you or cause you to question your perspective?
Is your perspective fixed or flexible?
Do you perceive only what is shown to you?
How receptive are you?
