I am Vicki Nicholls, an avid observer of nature, enthusiastic traveller, amateur writer and photographer.

Photography is a way for me to slow down, to immerse within, and become a spectator with eyes, mind, and heart open in appreciation and wonder. I find myself looking more carefully. Quite often, upon reviewing photos, I see something within that first went unnoticed.

I experience peace while stilling myself amongst all forms of wonders – geological, archaeological, historical, natural, and people I encounter on this journey of life.

Throughout the last several years, photography has played a more prominent role in my ever-changing life. I strive to document through the natural lenses of my eyes, the emotions I experience; my perspectives, perceptions, and interpretations. This is a personal journal of my life’s happenings as I explore who I am and my relationship with the natural world that enlightens, uplifts, and instructs my experiences.

I penned the following phrase a few years ago while voyaging within myself, interests, hobbies, and those whose influence touches me, heart, mind, and soul.

“A photograph is to the eyes, what words are to an experience.”

Perhaps, you will discover yourself, a unique individual that effects motivation through affective appreciation of your experiences; perspective, perceptions, and interpretations.
