Adventure Awaits on Powderface and Tunnel Mountain Trails

Nature is my mentor: symbolic of my life. My heart and mind rest peacefully in mountain experiences and my adventurous willfulness.

I invite you to reflect upon my words and photographs and visualize an experience using your perspective, perception, and interpretation.

Life’s Mountain Trails

Rugged and smooth
Narrow and wide
Twisting and straight
Tree roots and stones.
Switchbacks and steep
Challenging breaths.

Nature’s design
Mountainous climbs
Struggles sublime.

Have you ever been tempted to ignore warnings?
Do you prefer to heed them?
Perhaps they felt confining or unnecessary?
What was the consequence of your choice?
What was your response?

Inhale deeply
Exhale relief.

Nature’s design
Mountainous peaks
Life’s symbols seek.

Powderface Ridge Trail (below)

Sit or stand still
Let bruises heal
Wipe tears away
Landscape’s grand views.

Nature is my mentor: symbolic of my life. My mountain experiences on these trails tested my endurance, determination, and desire to overcome pain, breathlessness, discouragement, and obstacles in my path. Every way I gazed, my adventurous soul felt nourished, encouraging me to continue. Refreshing, resting opportunities provided renewed strength.

Scurrying paws, squawking squirrels, and chirping birds resounded through the forested areas as pine and cedar scents wafted upon the breezes.

Could you visualize an experience that correlated to anything you observed in my words and/or photographs? Perhaps you returned to a memorable moment when your heart and mind were at peace with your own ‘landscape’ grand view.

Perspective, perception, interpretation.
Choices, decisions, experiences.
Life happens . . . so do Ups and Downs

In my 20’s and 30’s, no problem…….I dared the trails, the steepness, the cragginess, the unknown around every bend in the trail…….wished I could have stayed on the heights as I looked at the views……back then, I felt like I could conquer the world. My legs felt invigorated, my lungs strengthened, my heart felt like it could do anything.

Now……looking back over the decades, I feel more tenuous. It sucks! Lol.

I feel envious at your strength and conviction and the challenges you set yourself and then conquer. Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!
