Nature’s Transformative Powers: Water and Ice

Symbolism found in nature confounds the seeking soul.
From perspective to perception to interpretation life provides teaching moments, most especially for me, through the beauties of this world in all seasons of change and fluctuations.
Through aiming to tame the wilderness of my experiences, I discover untapped perceptions that open the vistas of my heart and mind.
This in turn affects, and effects, my interpretation of life’s happenings, freeing me to see beyond the unseeable, touch the intangible, and appreciate the immensity of transformational powers.
Hence, the symbolic representations of my photography and written composition.

From one to another and back again
as autumn falls under wintery chills.
When water yields to tempered appearance
she cools to the touch, suspended in time.

From one to another and back again
as winter gives way to springtime thrills.
When ice and water display persistence,
they battle a dance to season’s chime.

From one to another and back again
with springing warmth the heartbeat fills.
When elements touch in sweet convergence
both water and ice lyrically rhyme.

From sight to immersion simply attain
as impression internally stills.
When heart and mind yield to observance
harmonious paths become sublime.

Perhaps, because I am an introspective soul, there are times when I am overly reflective. It seems as if two elements are trying to dominate the other, yet I am one. I seek harmony and peaceful resolutions. Sometimes my heart and mind wish to maintain their individuality through water-like or ice-like persuasiveness. These transformative powers dance through my life and choices.

The duality of common origins, being one with oneself, mingling with the perspectives that influence perceptual interpretation, flow through me when I submit to the temperature influencing my environment. The beauty of wholeness combines elemental opposites. Without one there cannot be the other.

Transformative powers elicit inevitable changes that are dependent on perspectives, perceptions, and interpretation. All have value and beauty.
