“A photograph is to the eyes what words are to an experience.”
Perspectives and Perceptions: Introspection’s Lens
Near and far or far and near,
distance straight down the middle.
Wind-hewn, fine water droplets
and clinging icy particles.
Atmospheric suspensions,
driven, drifting silently.
Observe outward appearances,
changing viewpoints teaching me.
Shaping thoughts through light and dark
shadows mirrored, symbols stark.
Focus where, on what, I see,
imaginings, knowing me.
Shifting shapes like changing tides
perceptions felt within sight.
Up above or down below,
peripheral attractions show.

Climb the steps.
Snuggle in.
Pillows kept.
Dreams begin.

Clouds
Symbolic sketches and paintings of my life. I see the gentleness of living with nature as my guide. I experience the turmoil of stormy skies. I feel the pain of atmospheric particles. I appreciate the power of the wind and shape-shifting thoughts within my heart. I am striving to focus on what I see within as I come understand myself.
My mother, long ago, gave me the gift of watching clouds.
May she continue to enjoy the expansive view she now possesses beyond the limited horizons she experienced in life.
PERSPECTIVES AND PERCEPTIONS:
What are yours?
What do you see beyond outward appearances?
How do perspective and perception shape your choices?
What have you learned in coming to know yourself?
